The Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) is a prominent name in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) region. AFZ remains one of the largest free zones with massive foreign investment opportunities available to everyone.
The free zone has decided to showcase its attractive tourism features and investment opportunities at the upcoming Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which will take place at the heart of UAE — Dubai.
This decision taken by AFZ is part of their latest project which comes under the umbrella of the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD).
The purpose of this participation is to highlight its new and attractive developments which include Al Zorah and China Mall, which are tipped to attract huge attraction from foreign investors.
Ajman Free Zone management has also decided to offer special discounts and packages to the companies who will agree to join them during the ATM, which makes their participation even more enticing.
The tourism industry has attracted attention from major players in the industry over the course of recent years and a number of companies in the AFZ are already participating heavily in this sector.
According to AFZ Director General Engineer Ali Al Suwaidi, “AFZ will be showcasing its business partners including Wyndham Garden, Ajman Saray, Fairmont Ajman, Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, Oberoi Al Zorah, Ajman Beach Hotel, and Radisson Blu Hotel.”
He further stated:
“We have joined hands with Ajman Tourism to support their goal of increasing tourism activities in the emirate, both for business and leisure. Through our capabilities, tools, and resources, we are keen to provide the best options for companies to operate in the emirate.”
In addition to that, he also remarked: “We have developed infrastructure for all business activities, as well as value-added services to meet their client’s needs. AFZ’s digital platform can perform more than 150 essential services. AFZ’s strategic location also enables it to effectively support companies within the travel and tourism industry, as well as the hospitality sector, to respond faster to the market requirements.”
The tourism industry was heavily impacted because of the unforeseen circumstances of a COVID-19 pandemic. However, businesses are slowly starting to recover and resume their business as usual. The economic crisis is said to be over and that is proven by the GDP reports and overall analysis of the industries.
Similarly, the tourism industry suffered the most due to travel bans and is also looking to recover strongly. The ATM will also shed light on their strategies to plan out their growth during the 2021-2025 period and the new initiatives which will be taken to overcome the shortcomings that took place in the last year or so.
