The Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC), which is one of the world’s leading Free Zones, has broken its 7-year old for registering the most number of firms in its Free Zone in a single month.
DMCC welcomed 216 new companies on board in April, which also helped the free zones achieve the best results Q1, 2021.
Despite the global economic crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the free zone progress has remained incredibly consistent. DMCC, in particular, has attracted a number of world-renowned companies thanks to their state-of-the-art facilities, value addition services, and customer services.
This growth is a positive reinforcement and will further boost the launch of new DMCC Cacao Centre and DMCC Crypto Centre; the launch of both these centres are highly anticipated as well.
It is worth mentioning that DMCC also introduced new price points for various businesses, which helped them attract more companies from different markets such as UK, China, France, India, amongst others. The reports also suggest that Israel was also showed great interest as well.

The previous all-time high of company registration stood at 205 for the month of September in 2020; this saw DMCC being awarded the Global Free Zone of the Year by Financial Times for 6th consecutive year.
