Travelers Registration Using ICA Smart Services
People who are residing in Sudan, South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka and are planning to visit the UAE need to do registration on the ICA Smart Services portal before leaving their respective countries. After registration is done, a QR code is given to the passengers. This code is checked by the UAE authorities for verifying your approval.
Travelers having other types of visas don’t need to register through the portal. Similarly, those who have a visa on arrival or visit visa, short or long term visa, 10 years UAE Golden visa, employment visa or residence permit, investor or partner visa don’t have to apply for registration.
The registration is also not required for UAE residence visa holders who are coming from Ethiopia. ICA Smart Services approval is not mandatory for tourists as well. ICA offers visitors to check their entry status by entering their nationality, passport-type, passport number, Emirates ID number, and other relevant details.
Obtaining UAE Residence Entry Permit Through ICA Smart Services
The process of registering and getting a UAE residence entry permit using ICA Smart Services is effortless and simple. Just follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1
First of all, visit the official website of ICA Smart Services.
Step 2
The next step is to fill out the permit application form. Provide your personal details including email address, name, country of departure, date of birth, and arrival port.
Step 3
Now, you will submit your visa and passport details. You have to enter your visa and passport relevant information such as issue date, expiry date, visa type, number, etc.
Step 4
Next, you will provide your details of residency in UAE. You will be asked to provide your mobile number, UAE address, and so on. Verification of the submitted information is also done at this step.
Step 5
Post that, you will fill in the coronavirus test and vaccination details You have to enter the specific dates of your PCR test and COVID-19 vaccination.
Step 6
At this step, you will be asked to upload some personal documents including PCR test results, a colored picture, a photograph of your passport, a Covid vaccination certificate, and more.
Step 7
The second last step is to agree to the declaration. It means you confirm the provided information and details are correct and that you will adhere to all the rules and regulations issued and implemented by the authorities of the Emirates.

After submitting the requested details, wait for the final approval by the ICA. Once the application is approved, you will be notified through e-mail.
Checking Visa Validity Through ICA Smart Services
Those who are either transiting through the city of Abu Dhabi or are thinking of visiting the Emirates, need to submit an application for a visa. You can track your visa application through ICA Smart Services. All you have to do is enter your reference number and application number. Your visa service provider will give you these numbers. You can also ask queries related to visa validity, issuance, types, status, and other relevant information via the ICA Smart Services official website or helpline number 600522222.
People who have residence visas or entry permits to the cities of Fujairah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ajman can also check their visa validity on the official website of ICA.
Residents or nationals of the Emirates who are eligible for a visa on arrival and have a valid residence visa can enter the UAE through the airports of Abu Dhabi. Individuals having any other type of visa cannot enter as other visas are suspended.
Registering Vaccine Certificate on ICA Smart Services
Travelers coming to the UAE need to register their vaccine certificates on ICA Smart Services. UAE recently made the announcement of accepting Corona Virus vaccination certificates from foreign countries.
- Those who are fully vaccinated in the Emirates can register at any time before flying to the country. You don’t have to upload your official vaccination certificate on the ICA Smart Services platform as you are vaccinated in the UAE.
- Tourists who are vaccinated in any other country need to do their registration five days prior to their flight. Once the registration is done, a QR code is sent via e-mail. You may be asked to show this code to the authorities at the airport.
- Those tourists who haven’t been vaccinated against COVID-19 yet first need to get vaccinated. Once they are vaccinated, they can register anytime before their flight. Once the vaccination is completed, they can register any time before flying to the UAE. After registration, a QR code is sent via e-mail. The QR code is demanded at the airport by the relevant authorities at the airport.
