The UAE has taken a major step in strengthening its education sector by granting long-term Golden Visas to 16,456 outstanding students, university graduates, and educational professionals. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) announced the initiative on Emirati Education Day, observed annually on February 28.
Expanding Opportunities for Academic Excellence
As part of the country’s vision to nurture a talent-driven economy, the Golden Visa program provides residency benefits to individuals who demonstrate exceptional academic performance. This year’s recipients include:
- 10,710 high-achieving high school students
- 5,246 graduates from UAE-accredited universities
- 337 education specialists
- 147 graduates from prestigious global institutions
- 16 distinguished scholars in education
Maj-Gen Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of ICP, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the UAE’s commitment to fostering knowledge-based growth.
“Our education strategy aims to develop an informed and skilled generation, equipped with cutting-edge knowledge to navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving world,”
he stated.
