The employers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been strictly advised to pay salaries on time through the wage protection system, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) stated.
This information was unveiled on Twitter by the MoHRE, which read:
We stress on the necessity of companies compliance to pay salaries on time through the wage protection system & document early leaves granted or salary amendments whether temporary or permanent through the additional temporary annexe contract available on our smart app or website pic.twitter.com/MfIyRE7ufH

The ministry stated:
We stress on the necessity of companies compliance to pay salaries on time through the wage protection system & document early leaves granted or salary amendments whether temporary or permanent through the additional temporary annexe contract available on our smart app or website.
In addition to the salaries, the ministry also emphasised on companies to also document early leaves granted to employees. Furthermore, the temporary or permanent salary amendments are also advised to be monitored.
This is not the first time the ministry has opted to make such a bold decision as previously on May 11, the MoHRE also intervened to allot more holidays to employees who were showcasing signs of coronavirus during the start of the pandemic.
As the pandemic curfew is being lifted around the globe, normal timings in offices, malls, parks and other places are being restored.
