Types of Dubai Tourist visa

Your Dubai visa application process will depend on the purpose and duration of your stay. There are different types of Dubai visas based on their validity and entry types – 96 hours, 14 days, 30 days, and 90 days. The Dubai visa fees will also vary based on the type that you will opt for.

14 Days Tourist Visa

As the name suggests, this type of visa is valid for a period of 14 days. The 14 days visa is a single entry and short-term visa and is a non-extendable one. Individuals can avail this type of visa if the country is to be visited for a short trip. The documents required to apply for this visa include Passport Bio Data Page, Passport Last Page, Photograph, and Proof of Residence (only if the country of residence isn’t the country of present nationality) as well as Additional Documents for High-Risk Countries.

30 Days Tourist Visa

The 30 days tourist visa is valid for 58 days to use from its issue date and it only gives you access to visit Dubai for 30 days from the date of entry. This visa is usually processed within 3-4 days; however, the express tourist visa is processed within 48 hours. To apply for this type of visa, you have to submit Passport Bio Data Page, Passport Last Page, Photograph, and Proof of Residence (only if the country of residence isn’t the country of present nationality) as well as Additional Documents for High-Risk Countries.

96 Hour Transit Visa

This visa is valid for 30 days to use from its issue date and it only gives you access to visit Dubai for 96 hours from the date of entry. This type of visa is processed within 3-4 working days, and the express 96 hours transit visa is processed within 48 hours. The application process requirements are pretty much the same as the 30 days tourist visa where it will require Passport Bio Data Page, Passport Last Page, Photograph, and Proof of Residence (only if the country of residence isn’t the country of present nationality) as well as Additional Documents for High-Risk Countries.

90 Day Visit Visa

The 90 days tourist visa is valid for 58 days to use from its issue date and it only gives you access to visit Dubai for 90 days from the date of entry. This visa is usually processed within 3-4 days; however, the express tourist visa is processed within 48 hours. To apply for this type of visa, you have to submit Passport Bio Data Page, Passport Last Page, Photograph, and Proof of Residence (only if the country of residence isn’t the country of present nationality) as well as Additional Documents for High-Risk Countries.

Single Entry Long Term Visa – Leisure: 90 DAYS

The validity of this visa is also 58 days and it lasts for 90 from the date of entry. Like the first three types of visas, this one also requires 3 to 4 working days for processing, whereas like the three other visas as well, the express one will be processed within 48 hours. The same also goes for the documents required to apply for this visa that include Passport Bio Data Page, Passport Last Page, Photograph, and Proof of Residence (only if the country of residence isn’t the country of present nationality) as well as Additional Documents for High-Risk Countries.

Dubai visitors can apply for an online visa which upon its approval, will be sent to the applicant registered email. UAE nationals, Expatriate residents in UAE, GCC nationals living in the UAE, Residents of GCC, and Visitors can all apply for entry permit/visit visas for themselves, families, friends, and relatives as well as workers. For GCC residents, their GCC Residency must be valid at least 3 months from the arrival date. Also, “GCC Citizen – Accompanies” won’t be approved for any family member or assistant categories if the sponsor is not traveling along with them.

Renewing or Extending Dubai Tourist Visa

All tourists’ visas can be extended for thirty days twice without having to leave the country. Each time, renewal fees will be charged. If for some reason you have to apply for Dubai tourist visa renewal after expiry, a penalty will have to be paid.
